Two coconuts -- Where it all started
In 2003 Two coconuts was founded by Helen Elliott, a graduate of University of Maryland. Helen holds a degree in Textile Marketing and has over 20 years of experience sewing and design. Two coconuts came about out of a desire for (as my husband puts it) "a new sewing machine". After a short time interest in the business grew and the "sewing machine" grew as well. New products were added and a web site showcasing the product soon followed. Eventually Two coconuts grew too big to run as a home based business, so in 2006 a retail location was opened in Kensington, Maryland. Today Two coconuts has a variety of merchandise made in our store and from outside vendors. I continue to search for and support other "Mom" owned businesses. Thanks to all my customers, friends and family that supported Two coconuts and helped make it what it is today. I look forward to the future with many new ideas and products, and thank my children who continue to inspire and delight me.
